Shopping FAQ's
I have just started using the internet and want to know how to shop online.
The easiest way to shop online is to visit an online shopping mall. If you are looking for a specialist item, you may have to spend some time looking for a website where it is being offered for purchase. Once you have found what you are looking for at a price that is acceptable to you, you will find that there is some sort of “add to cart” or “purchase” button on the page. Clicking it should add it to your shopping cart, ready for you to add more or check out – just like shopping at a real mall. Once you have got everything you want in your cart, you can look for some sort of “check out” button. It must be remembered that not all sites use the exactly same words so just follow your instinct. If you have not already entered all your personal and financial details upon entering the site, this will probably be the next step. You will need to organize electronic payment for the goods, and provide a delivery address. With all this information complete, you can log out the site, sit back and wait for you purchase to arrive. This may sound like a bit too much but remember that once you have logged into a site, your information will be stored so you will not have to repeat the process every time.
I heard you can buy medicines on the internet. Is this true and how do you go about it?
Yes, you can buy medication over the internet. However, if it is a prescription drug you are after, you usually have to provide the prescription to obtain the medication. There are many online pharmacies that you can access when wanting to buy medication or medical products. You simply need to have a look around.
What are online shopping malls?
Online shopping malls are websites you can go to that organize a variety of products available for purchase under one site name. Basically, it’s the internet’s equivalent of a real life shopping mall. There are many malls available and not all will have the same products on off. I suggest you look around and see which site appeals to you the most.
What are thrift shops?
Thrift shops are basically shops that sell used goods to raise money for charity. You can find many good bargains at thrift shops and not all their merchandise is used. Many thrift shops have turned to using the internet to market their goods as this is cheaper than renting shop premises.
What should I expect to find at a home shopping website?
Most home shopping sites offer anything and everything that can be used in the home. They offer cosmetics, clothing and jewelry. They offer furniture and sound equipment. Cooking equipment, bathroom accessories, craft equipment, cleaning equipment and electronic appliances are all items which can be found at home shopping websites. Many websites also offer home decorating deals to help with home improvement.
I want to buy a unique toy. How do I go about finding one?
There are many websites which are dedicated to toys. All you need to do is either enter the name of the toy or if you are not looking for a specific toy, have a good look at what the websites offer. You are bound to find what you are looking for on the internet.
